Students Achieve Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards

Our congratulations go to year 11 students Lotti Heathcote and Lottie-Rose Van Der Helstraete on the completion on the physical, volunteering and skills sections of their silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

This is an incredible achievement, especially as Lotti and Lottie-Rose have worked through times of uncertainty with the national lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions in place. We are very proud of their commitment and dedication.

The silver award consists of four sections volunteering, physical, skills and expeditions. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, students have been unable to take part in the expeditions section of the award but we look forward to offering COVID-19 safe expeditions later in the school year.

Cowes Enterprise College is proud to provide a wide-ranging education that broadens horizons, resulting in well-rounded students who are invested in the world around them. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards are just one of the ways we are delivering this, and helps students develop skills such as communication, commitment, leadership and teamwork as well as boosting character traits such as confidence and resilience.
