Great Performance from CEC Netballers at Tournament

Cowes Enterprise College was delighted to enter one year 11 netball team (Under 16s) and one Sixth Form netball team (Under 19) in the first round to attempt to qualify for the South of England Netball Tournament, held at Seaclose.

Our year 11 team first played against Ryde School, where the girls played and defended impressively, but Ryde proved to be challenging and had a worthy win.

Cowes then went on to play the Priory. Both teams played well and battled all the way to the end where Priory managed to steal the win by one. The girls showed some excellent teamwork and challenged the ball every chance they could.

The under-19 team have only just recently come together, and wanted the experience to play against other IOW schools. The only other team entered was Ryde School. The girls worked really hard in game play and enjoyed the challenge and experience of playing against a well-established team. The girls showed true resilience and kept a smile on their faces and showed some excellent sportsmanship.

Both teams represented Cowes superbly and were a credit to the school and themselves.

We are so proud of them and for their commitment and resilience shown against some tough competition.
