The Government has announced that it will not publish any school or college level educational performance data based on tests, assessments or exams for 2020.

Stage 4 (KS4) results 2019

  • Cowes Enterprise College’s validated GCSE Progress 8 score from summer 2019 is +0.12 which places us in the top third of schools nationally
  • All our core subject departments are in the top third of schools nationally, and in particular our maths progress score of +0.33 places us 630th out of over 3700 state secondary schools in the country, the top 6th nationally
  • Our progress score in 2019 places us top of the Isle of Wight and in the top quarter of all schools in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region
  • In 2019, the attainment 8 score was 46.3
  • 40% of our students achieved a Grade 5 or above in English and maths
  • 65% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English and maths
  • Our EBacc average point score was 3.76
  • 11% of students were entered for the Ebacc and 8% achieved 5+ in the Ebacc

Key stage 5 (KS5) results 2019

  • In 2019, the average grade of C and point score of 31.59 places us in the top third of schools and colleges nationally
  • The percentage of our students achieving AAB or higher in at least 2 facilitating subjects, A levels commonly needed for entry to leading universities, was 27% which places us top of all schools and colleges in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region and in the top 6% nationally
  • Our A Level progress score was -0.09 and the progress score for vocational qualifications was +0.27 with an average result of Merit+ and point score of 29.91

  • Sustained education, employment or apprenticeship after year 11: 95% (2017 data)
  • Students staying in education or employment for at least 2 terms after 16 to 18 (level 3) study: 82% (2017 data)
