Research driven school

We believe as teachers we never stop learning, which is why at Cowes Enterprise College we ensure our staff are experts in their areas and continue to strive for excellence.

Over the last three years, we have been actively using research to inform our teaching and pedagogical practices. We firmly believe that the most effective research happens when we actively see the results of it ourselves in classrooms.

We are keen to engage with and take part in research to help improve the educational outcomes for all of our students. We regularly refer to the EEF (Education Endowment Foundation) Teaching and Learning toolkit, John Hattie, Robert Marzano and other academic research to help determine the types of intervention that will help maximise students’ attainment and progress.
