Joy for students as they celebrate GCSE results
GCSE results day has brought celebrations to Cowes as Year 11 students reflect on their achievements and look towards the future.
The school is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown resilience and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.
This year’s cohort achieved particularly highly in English, Maths and Science.
The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.
While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:
- Tom received two Grade 9s, five Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 6. He is staying at Cowes to study A Levels in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths.
- Sameer secured two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and three Grade 7s. He is going to study A Levels in Physics, Maths and Further Maths and is hoping to be a pilot.
- Daisy was awarded two Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, three Grade 7s and one Grade 6 and plans to study A Levels at Cowes.
- Cora received one Grade 9, three Grade 8s, four Grade 7s and one Grade 6 and plans to study A Levels at Cowes.
- Dylan obtained two Grade 8s, three Grade 6s, three Grade 5s and one Grade 4 and thinking about studying Criminology and Law.
- Punnaporn achieved one Grade 7, 4 Grade 6s and three grade 5s. She will be studying A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry at Cowes.
- Jerome recievd three Grade 7s, four Grade 6s and one Grade 5 and will be studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Cowes from September.
