Geography is about facilitating students’ curiosity about their local and global community. Students will have the opportunity to become proficient in map reading to explore key social, economic and environmental issues in today’s society whilst evaluating how to manage these in a sustainable way.
Our geography curriculum is underpinned by key themes of sustainability, systems, developments, interdependence, inequality, globalisation and assessing risk and resilience.
We ensure that students study a wide range of countries and contexts. Through our maritime projects we study our local area, exploring how it has changed over time and what our future might look like.
