Admissions
Cowes Enterprise College welcomes applications for students to join us at the normal entry points in year 7 and year 12. We also welcome applications for other year groups, where families move into the area or wish to change schools.
We are proud to offer a range of supportive and stimulating activities to help ensure that the transition from year 6 into year 7 is one that children look forward to and enjoy. All year 6 children are invited to join the induction programme in July to spend time in the academy, meeting their new classmates and teachers. We also offer opportunities for parents to meet senior staff.
The academy is part of the Isle of Wight coordinated admissions scheme, so all applications for places must be made to the admissions department at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight.

2023 / 2024 Statement: Admissions committee for out of age group admissions:
- Admission of children outside their normal age group.
- Parents may request that their child is admitted outside their normal age group. To do so, parents should include a request with their application, specifying why admission outside the normal age group is being requested and which year group they wish their child to be admitted. Decisions will be made based on the circumstances of the case and in the best interests of the child.
