Uniform

At Cowes Enterprise College we believe in establishing a culture of behaviour that supports learning.

This is reflected in our expectations of personal appearance and attitudes to learning and in terms of the standards and aspirations we have for our students.

We believe that a smart appearance helps develop a sense of pride which reflects in a more positive approach to work and behaviour.

It is students’ responsibility to wear their uniform correctly to show respect for the academy, including on the way to and from school.

Please ensure that all of your child’s uniform items and equipment are clearly labeled with their name, including any coats. Thank you.

Our uniform provider is The School Shop (https://iwuniform.co.uk/collections/cowes-enterprise-college). They are a trusted provider offering high-quality garments, a user-friendly online ordering system, and efficient delivery.

Students joining Year 7 in September 2026 and students who will be in Year 8 in September 2026 should only wear the new uniform, as outlined below, which includes our CEC logo jumper and CEC logo polo shirt.

Year 7 and Year 8 students should not be wearing shirts, blouses, blazers, ties or tartan kilts or items from the old CEC uniform.

The academy logo black jumper, academy logo polo shirt and academy PE top are branded and only available from The School Shop https://iwuniform.co.uk/.

Black trousers, smart black shorts, black pleated skirts and plain white polo shirts can be purchased more widely, such as from supermarkets, independent retailers and second-hand shops (subject to availability).

Sometimes good condition second hand Cowes Enterprise College branded academy uniform can be found in second hand retailers.

Please note that plain white polo shirts may be worn beneath the CEC logo jumper. If students do not intend to wear their jumper, such as in the warmer months, they must be wearing a CEC logo polo shirt.

Coats (and blankets) are welcome to be worn outside, however must please be removed when indoors.

Please ensure that all of your child’s uniform and equipment are clearly labeled with their name, including any coats. Thank you.

For students who will be in Year 9, Year 10 or Year 11 from September 2026, please see below.
