Students achieve A level success
Cowes Enterprise College is celebrating the achievements of its Sixth Form students as A level results are released today.
Sixth Form students at the school, which is on Crossfield Avenue, Cowes, and part of Ormiston Academies Trust, have achieved results that reflect their hard work, commitment and determination over the past two years.
The students’ successes have enabled them to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Jacob, who achieved A*, A*, A*, A* in physics, chemistry, maths and further maths, will be studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge
- Sonia, who secured A*, A, A in chemistry, biology and maths and will be studying Medicine at the University of Liverpool
- Will, who gained A*, A* ,A* in English literature, geography and film, and will be studying Film making at Kingston University London
- Alison received A*,A*,A* in business, psychology and law and will be studying Management with Marketing at the University of Bath
- Zach who achieved A, A, B in maths, biology and chemistry will be studying Medicine at the University of Exeter
- Finlay will be studying Criminology at the University of Exeter having achieved B, B, C in law, sociology and psychology
Students also performed particularly well overall in mathematics and science A Levels.

Building on this year’s strong results, the school will continue its progress under the leadership of Executive Principal Paul Slaughter and new Head of School Ruth Griffiths-Nash who both take up the role in September.
