Thursday 23rd November | Cross Country | Medina College | 13 students from across year 9 up to year 11 to have a chance at qualifying for the next round to represent the IOW in the Hampshire Schools Cross Country Championships. All students who took part did amazing and were a credit to CEC and themselves. Congratulations to those who have qualified for the next round! |
Wednesday 22nd November | Netball | CEC | We were lucky to have two teams entered representing Cowes and both teams played against teams from across the Island. All schools played within two pools. Cowes 1 (Red team) showed some excellent attacking and defending against CTK who were extremely tough competition and ended up with a worthy runners up (2nd place) overall. Cowes 2 (blue team) came 4th in their pool which meant they played 4th place from the second pool which was Carisbrooke. This team showed some excellent game play throughout the whole tournament and came 8th overall. |
Tuesday 21st November | Netball | Ryde Academy | Our year 8 netball team had a friendly netball match against Ryde Academy. The girls played amazingly well showing some excellent netball skill on the court. They worked well together to gain a 17-0 victory! |
Thursday 16th November | Football | CEC | Our year 9 boys football team continued their good form this season, yet again playing the Cowes way displaying resilience and respect, leading to a comfortable 4-1 win over league challengers Ryde Academy. |
Tuesday 14th November | Football | CEC | CEC welcomed CTK and The Bay to play our Year 7 and 8 boys football teams. Both year groups had some new additions to their teams and they slotted in well to their positions. |
Thursday 9th November | Cross Country | Medina College | A huge well done to all students who took part in the Isle of Wight Schools Cross Country Relays which took place recently, hosted by Medina College. All students were a credit to the school and themselves and with some horrendous weather and conditions that were difficult they all did amazing. |
Friday 4th November | Football | CEC | Cowes Enterprise College welcomed Swedish touring football club Vallingby AIK to play our Year 9 boys football team. With the final whistle blown, it was a 7-1 victory to CEC. Huge well done to all involved! |
Thursday 19th October | Football | CEC | Our year 8 boys football team faced Medina yesterday in what turned out to be a great game for the boys! An excellent first half saw us go in 4-0 up at half time as Kian S scored all 4! Huge well done to the Year 8 boys, we are so proud. |
Thursday 12th October | Netball | CEC | Year 11 & Sixth Form Netball Tournament. Well done to all that took part, we are super proud of how you all conducted yourself throughout the tournament. |

Tuesday 14th March | Girls’ Football | Eastleigh | U13 7-a-side Hampshire County Finals tournament, at Eastleigh. Further details TBC in due course. |
Wednesday 8th March | Girls’ Football | CEC | U13 (A and B teams) 6-a-side tournament on 3G pitch. |

Thursday 23rd February | Island Schools Sports Hall Athletics Championships 2023 | Medina College | Congratulations to the students who took part in the years 7 & 8 IOW Schools Sportshall Athletics Championships held at Medina College on Thursday 23rd February. Cowes were in competition with seven other secondary schools from across the Island. All members of the team played a vital vole in scoring points in field and running events plus relays. We had some excellent performances across all events gaining an amazing 3rd place overall which was an excellent achievement. |
Monday 6th February | KS3 (Years 7 and 8) IoW Schools Cross Country Championships | Christ the King | All students performed well and were a credit to themselves and to Cowes Enterprise College. Well done to the Year 7 and Year 8 students who will be competing compete for the IOW at the Hampshire Schools Cross Country Championships. |
Thursday 26th January | KS4 Badminton Tournament | CEC | For selected students only to to determine who represents the Isle of Wight in the Hampshire competition coming up. Playing against other local schools. Well done to all involved! |
Tuesday 24th January | KS3 Badminton Tournament | CEC | For selected students only to to determine who represents the Isle of Wight in the Hampshire competition coming up. Playing against other local schools. All students did brilliantly. |
Saturday 21st January | Schools South Zonal Trampolining competition | Gillingham | Three CEC students represented the school last weekend within various categories from Intermediate and Elite categories. Ruby Mansell placed 12th in her category. Charlie Wilson placed 9th in his category. Mikey Montgomery placed 2nd in his category and has qualified for National Finals to take place in Northampton. All students received very high level scores and were a credit to the Academy. |
