CEC Chair of Governors is National Leader

Cowes Enterprise College Chair of Governors, Ken Lloyd, has been working with the Department for Education in developing new standards for the selection, appointment and training of school governors, acting as a National Leader of Governance (NLG) with the role of supporting school governing bodies and Multi Academy Trust Boards.

Ken has been a member of a small Department for Education advisory group and has been providing a fresh approach to the use of high performing governors who are able to share their expertise to develop governance elsewhere.

The Department for Education welcomed the finings of the expert advisory group on NLG reform, commenting that they are committed to continuous improvement of the school system and the NLG programme will continue to play a vital role. The revised national guidance was issued this month.

Our huge thanks and congratulations to Ken.
