Girls Football Report 05/10/2021
Wednesday 29th September saw the under-13 and under-15 girls playing their first league match this season, on the 3G Pitch, against Medina.
The under-13s were unfortunately badly affected by illness and injury but still put on a tremendous display, conceding only 1 goal in each half. The ball was travelling into the opponents’ half but – despite numerous corners – we just couldn’t hit the back of their net. Rosie P played a blinder in the Cowes goal!
There was a very similar situation in the under-15 match, with the ball travelling equally well into both halves, but, this time, it was the Cowes girls who capitalised, winning 5-0, with some excellent passing play throughout.
