Students Achieve Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards

A very well done to year 10 students Hugo D, Leah E, Benjamin VDH, Eadie S and Rosie E for completing the volunteering, skills and physical sections of their bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

We are so proud of this fantastic achievement, especially as students have shown resilience and perseverance through times of uncertainty with COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns.

The bronze award consists of four sections volunteering, physical, skills and expeditions. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, students have been unable to take part in the expeditions section of the award. Students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award should please use eDofE to log their completed sections to receive their certificate of achievement. This will then be converted to a full award once expeditions have taken place later this year.

At Cowes Enterprise College we are delighted to offer a wide-ranging education to our students to help to educate them for life. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards are just one way we deliver this by boosting confidence and positive mental health and wellbeing and offering students the opportunity to gain new skills, make new friends and have new experiences.
