Student Success in Junior Maths Challenge

On Wednesday 28th April, a number of students in Year 7 and 8 competed in the annual UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) Junior Maths Challenge.

This is a national competition with schools up and down the country taking part. The Mathematics Trust, which is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics, organised the nationwide competition and awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold prizes to those who achieved a certain mark or higher.

We are delighted to share that 4 of our Year 8 students have achieved Gold certificates (awarded to the top 6-7% of students nationally!) and have qualified for the next round of competition!

Congratulations to Evie, Donna and Joshua, who will be taking part in the Junior Kangaroo.

And a special congratulations to Katherine, who is one of only 1200 students in the country to qualify for the Junior Olympiad!

We are so proud of your achievements and wish you all the best for the next stage of the competition!
