CEC Welcomes OAT Regional Enrichment and Social Action Coordinator

Cowes Enterprise College, Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), is delighted to welcome Jodie Jones to the Academy. Jodie joins us on-site, once a week, in her role as OAT Regional Enrichment and Social Action Coordinator for the South.

The core purpose of the Regional Enrichment and Social Action Coordinator is to support enrichment and social action programme development and delivery. The trust wants to ensure that every OAT child will have a fundamental enrichment entitlement, including taking part in meaningful social action in their school and wider community whilst they are studying.

Regional Enrichment and Social Action Coordinators work across an OAT region to support OAT academies to engage and inspire pupils through a varied, impactful, and sustainable enrichment programme.  This involves working with each academy on a bespoke basis, identifying areas of need, and supporting to remove any barriers to engagement.

They undertake a wide range of activities, including project development and delivery, hands-on assistance in schools, ensuring enrichment is tracked and analysed, leading network meetings for Enrichment Leaders and the regional Student Voice teams, support with all aspects of the DofE Award, and supporting Lead Practitioners with OAT National Enrichment Competitions.

Cowes Enterprise College is excited to work with Jodie Jones in this role, and to expand on our existing enrichment and social action offers.
