Last week, 73 students from Cowes Enterprise College demonstrated their athletic prowess at the IOW Schools Championships held at the Ray Scovell Athletics Track in Sandown. The year 7 and 8 team made a remarkable debut, securing a strong 4th place. Building on this success, the year 9 and 10 team delivered outstanding performances, earning a commendable 3rd place overall.
The students showcased their dedication and skills across various track and field disciplines, participating in as many events as possible. Their hard work and determination paid off, resulting in an impressive team placement for Cowes Enterprise College.
Special recognition goes to the medalists who achieved 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in individual events. Their exceptional performances have earned them the opportunity to represent the Isle of Wight at the upcoming Hampshire Schools Championships.
The college extends its congratulations to all participating students, as well as the Sports Captains who provided invaluable support and guidance to the teams. A special mention goes to the Year 10 Girls team, whose outstanding efforts secured them the first-place position in their year group.
