Cowes Enterprise College Students Awarded Aspirational Eco-Schools Green Flag

Students at Cowes Enterprise College have once again earned a Distinction in the coveted Green Flag Award, as part of their work with the academy’s Eco-Council.

The internationally acclaimed Green Flag award, granted by Eco-Schools, celebrates the environmental accomplishments of youth, highlighting the significance of their dedicated efforts. This accolade also acknowledges their contributions towards fostering a greener and more sustainable school environment.

Eco-Schools, in their assessment, lauded the students’ unwavering commitment to environmental preservation and their proactive participation in sustainability projects. Their collaborative approach, involving a diverse array of school community stakeholders, reflects an inclusive ethos.

The Green Flag with Distinction award recognises students’ strategic planning, evident in projects such as beach cleans and the creation of a Remembrance Garden. This accolade underscores the remarkable impact of the Eco-Council’s community-oriented actions, amplifying awareness and commitment to environmental stewardship.
